Aaron Shust releases new music with “Forsaken (Psalm 22)”. This is the second release of 10 Psalms on his upcoming 10th full-length album entitled Heaven + Earth.
This Psalm is believed to have been written while David was in the desert, fleeing for his life from King Saul. Considered a Messianic Psalm, the opening line (“Eli Eli lama azavtani?” in Hebrew) was quoted by Jesus while on the cross, drawing attention to the remarkably accurate, prophetic statements finding their fulfillment even as He spoke. Heaven + Earth is set to release next month (March 17).
