Gospel Music artist and worship leader Allie Murphy releases “Better Things,” her new single written to encourage mothers like herself to find joy in all things – even the mundane.
Inspired by Ephesians 2:10 and 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12, Murphy originally wrote, “Better Things” as a personal cry out to God. She felt stuck in the tension between her dreams and callings for both creativity and motherhood for many years. Murphy believes the little moments in life that lead to the sometimes draining feeling of being a mother can be viewed as tender moments raising the future generation and beauty in the sacrifice.
