Chart-topping GRAMMY, Dove and Stellar Award-nominated artist, Melvin Crispell III, has released his latest single and lyric video for “Alright.” The 2019 BET’s “Sunday Best” winner delivers this first single “Alright” for 2023 from his upcoming sophomore album, No Failure. “Alright,” sends an uplifting message of hope that there is a path to happiness despite hardship. Melvin, who has gone through the pain of loss, expresses his story of healing through the power of music and God. As Melvin is backed by a harmonious chorus, his voice of empowerment encourages listeners that everything will be alright, despite any challenges along the way.
Recorded live, “Alright” marks Melvin’s first new radio single and made its debut with an early world premiere on February 16th on iHeartRadio Gospel stations across the country. “Alright” is written by KJ Scriven (Reginald K. Scriven II), Solomon Headen, and Temeric Khalil Morrison. Fueling “Alright” with his sterling vocals and exuberant praise, Melvin’s high-energy live performance was recorded from his new album’s sold-out live recording, which took place in October 2022 in Dallas, TX.
Lyrics:
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh
I’ve been through the storm and
I’ve been through the rain and
Been through the heartache
I’ve been through the pain and
But one thing I know (One thing I know)
One thing’s for sure
He ain’t never failed me yet
He ain’t never failed me yet
I didn’t come this far for Him to leave me
And I just can’t give up now that’d be too easy
Gotta keep my eyes on God I know He’s with me
Gonna lift my head up high cause in the end
It will be (Alright)
Oh Lord it will be (Alright)
Oh God it will be (Alright)
Jesus said it (Alright)
It will be (Alright)
I believe (Alright)
Believe within my heart (Alright)
It will be (Alright, alright)
Tried to take my family
And depression thought it had me (Had me)
Man it’s been a long time
Thought I’d never see the sunshine
But one thing I know (One thing I know)
And two things for sure (Two things for sure)
He ain’t never failed me yet
He ain’t never failed me yet
I didn’t come this far for Him to leave me
And I just can’t give up now that’d be too easy
Gotta keep my eyes on God I know He’s with
Gonna lift my head up high cause in the end
It will be (Alright)
Ooh I (Alright)
Oh I (Alright)
On your job (Alright)
And in your house (Alright)
Oh and even in your family (Alright)
Oh and with your children (Alright)
Oh (Alright)
Oh, yes (Alright)
I said it will be alright (Alright)
I said it will be alright (Alright)
Do you believe it (Alright)
It’ll be alright (Alright)
The devil tried to steal your faith (Alright)
He tried to steal your hope (Alright)
He tried to steal your joy (Alright)
It will be alright (Alright)
Yessir
Come on let me see you
Dallas if you know it’s gonna be alright
Make some noise in the room
Alright
Yeah, alright
Yessir (Alright)
It will be (Alright)
Jesus said it will be (Alright)
I know it will be (Alright)
In my heart I know (Alright)
In my soul I know (Alright)
It will be alright (Alright)
It looked another way (Alright)
Oh but God is saying this way (Alright)
God is saying this way (Alright)
For I know the thoughts (Alright)
That I think towards (Alright)
Ooh oh (Alright)
I said alright (Alright)
I said alright
Hey (Alright)
Alright
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
If you believe it’s gonna be alright
Make some noise
