Blessing Offor - Brighter Days Tin Roof
Gospel Songs Mp3

Multi-talented singer-songwriter Blessing Offor has released his double single debut “Brighter Days / Tin Roof,” available on all digital streaming platforms. This marks Blessing’s first release with Chris Tomlin’s Bowyer & Bow imprint in partnership with Universal/Capitol Christian Music Group. Blessing’s powerful voice and proclivity for melody take center stage, showcasing his range while juxtaposing the driving rhythms of “Brighter Days” with the gorgeous tones of “Tin Roof.” If not already evidenced by his slick craftsmanship, Blessing is a go-to songwriter in Nashville, accruing writing credits with top talents Chris Tomlin, Natalie Hemby, Breland, and others. Lyrics:
I know there’s gonna be some Brighter days
I swear that love will find you in your pain
I feel it in me like the beating of life in my veins
I know there’s gonna be some brighter days
I know there’s gonna be some brighter days

Oh, ashes fall from burning dreams
Oh, never lived through times like these
Oh, if you’re trying hard to breathe in the dark
In the dark

Oh, if your screams don’t make a sound
Oh, if your walls are crashing down
Oh, if your heart just cries too loud all the time
All time, whoa

Oh, oh, oh
Brighter Days
(I see brighter days)

“I’ve really been looking forward to sharing my songs with everyone,” Blessing says. “Every one of them feels like I’m sharing a part of myself for people to relate to. That’s what ‘Brighter Days’ is about. The idea that we all experience dark days, but it’s those days that lead us to, and that makes the brighter ones worth waiting for.”

The youngest of six siblings, the Nigerian-born singer/songwriter immigrated to the United States with his uncle at the age of six. Born blind in one eye, Blessing’s parents sent him to the United States in an effort to restore his vision, though unfortunately he lost his complete eyesight by age 10. Gravitating towards the piano before losing his vision, Blessing’s school teachers helped nurture his talent, and he soon found himself at Belmont University honing his craft in Music City. Hints of pop, Motown, and soul flourish across Blessing’s music as he sings of optimism, hope, and finding silver linings in dark clouds.

Lyrics:
Maybe the streets are gold and there’s a table with plenty room
Maybe we don’t grow old and we got nothin’ to lose
Maybe in the Promise Land there’s a choir when you walk through
Oh but I pray Heaven is like rain on a tin roof

Maybe the sun don’t set and the waters don’t rise
Maybe we don’t forget how to laugh like a child
Maybe in the Promise Land we’re all made for what we do
Oh but I pray Heaven is like rain on a tin roof

Washing away
Washing away my sorrows
Giving me faith
Giving me faith to follow a new tomorrow
They tell me in the Promise Land there are mansions to choose
Oh but I pray Heaven is like rain on a tin roof

Maybe time stands still
and the mountains just move
Maybe we all have wings and there’s only good news
They say the living water is the fountain of youth
Oh but I pray Heaven is like rain on a tin roof

Washing away (washing away)
Washing away my sorrows
Giving me faith (giving me faith)
Giving me faith to follow a new tomorrow
Yeah in the Promise Land there are mansions for me and you
Oh but I pray Heaven is like rain on a tin roof
I pray Heaven is like rain on a tin roof
