Esther TonyCheta, formerly known as Delight, has released her new single, “Mi O Le Dase,” a heartfelt expression of total trust and dependence on God as our source of help and strength.
A Yoruba expression meaning “I cannot do it on my own,” “Mi O Le Dase” captures a simple but deeply relatable prayer. The song points listeners to the place of seeking God’s help, strength and guidance. Esther expresses the honesty of knowing when to say, “Jesus, I need You. I can’t do this without You.”
“Mi O Le Dase” is another step in Esther’s musical journey, which has been shaped by years of singing, collaboration and serving in different capacities.
Her passion for music began at an early age, and during her teenage years, she started gaining recognition for her vocal ability and musical talent. She went on to receive an award at Cantata and emerged as a runner-up at Bezaleel, two of the early milestones in her career.
In 2016, Esther made her first recorded appearance when she was featured by Northern Nigerian artist Mr Harmony on “Power in Worship.” The collaboration marked an important point in her development as a recording artist and opened the door to further musical opportunities.
Over the years, she has continued to build her experience through collaborations, backing vocal performances and other musical engagements, working both as a lead artist and in supporting roles.
