Iyke David and Ukay (Equation1) have made their mark in the gospel music scene as music ministers and recording artistes who perform at church and corporate events.
A Nigerian contemporary gospel music duo composed of siblings Ikechukwu David Ugwu and Ukamaka Faith Ugwu, popularly known as Iyke David and Ukay.
In 2012, the duo formed a gospel music group called Genesis and released their debut single, “Chukwu Idi Nma”, a high-life praise groove.
They rebranded in 2017 and changed their name to Equation1. They released their 2nd single in July 2018 titled “Winner”, an Afro-pop music piece which showcases their remarkable talent, passion and flexibility to create music across different genre and still maintain their strong gospel sound.
