God Hears Your Groanings – Higher Every Day by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi [Saturday, September 9th, 2017].
SCRIPTURE: “And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob” (Exodus 2:24).
During World War II, a US marine (a trained soldier) was separated from his unit on a Pacific Island and lost touch with his comrades. The enemy soldiers were coming in his direction. Scrambling for cover, he quickly crawled inside one of the caves. He prayed, “Lord, if it be your will, please protect me. Then he saw a spider begin to build a web over the front of his cave.
The spider layered strand after strand of web across the opening of the cave. From the darkness of his hideout he could see them searching one cave after another. After glancing in the direction of his cave, they moved on. Suddenly, he realized that with the spider web over the entrance, his cave looked as if no one had entered for quite a while. He said, “forgive me; I had forgotten that in you a spider’s web is stronger than a brick wall.” He hears your groaning. He will not forsake His own and in His wonderful way, will work it out for you. Relax, God is in control.
Challenge: God is still on the throne, He will never forsake His own
Prayer: Lord, intervene in my situation today.
