Fiefa Micah-Love Inspiration Age Disparity In Marriage Part II

Excellent day People! Love Inspiration with Pastor Fiefa Micah Volume II September 2018 Edition.

Marriage/relationship with age disparity of all kind have been observed with both men and women nowadays as the older or younger partner in various cultures and races, older men and younger women often seek one another in marital relationship. These can be intimated by wealth, physical appearance, societal or family pressure. In this article, we shall examine some certain issues that necessitate age difference in a relationship/marriage.

Age Is Just A Number, Maturity’s What Really Matters In Relationships as the been the usual ‘quote’ when it comes to age difference in marriage/relationship. I agree with this; ‘The heart wants what the heart wants’ but something is good doesn’t makes it right. We truly can’t help with whom we fall in love. Love doesn’t care if someone is older or younger, but we certainly do. Doing the right thing at the right time for the right purpose matters a lot in life.

Poor family background/financial freedom: This is one of the factors that can necessitate age difference in marriage. In the scriptures, Ruth was a widow who needed help. She described herself as a maid and was called a daughter by Boaz who later became her husband. This clearly shows there was a huge age difference between them. Ruth 3:9-12

Emotional imbalance: Most women accepts marital proposal to cover up an emotional trauma experienced in their previous relationship. This can also necessitate age difference in marriage/ relationship. A lady once told me during a counseling session that she’s willing to marry whoever propose to her not minding the age difference. When I inquire from her what prompted her decision, she said ‘Pastor, I have suffered severe heartbreak in my previous relationships’. At this point I realized she was emotionally imbalance because her experience which could’ve led her into marrying a younger or older man.

Learn to love yourself always; you’re loved by God – John 3:16

Celebrate yourself/achievement in life, you’re not in competition with anyone – Romans 5:8

Don’t be distracted by others, you’re the only one that can help yourself – 1 John 4:18

Express genuine love; love is simple -1 Corinthians 13:4

Embrace true love; it is a blessing from God – 1 John 3:1

PRAYER: My father, position me for a special blessing today as I express love. I am a loved child of a beloved God.  Therefore, I am always willing to embrace true love in Jesus name, Amen.

God bless you abundantly
