Love Inspiration with Pastor Fiefa Micah “Don’t Do It” November 2018 Edition Volume II.
Excellent day People!
Have you noticed that the frequent usage of social media is gradually affecting marriages/ relationship negatively nowadays? It has changed the way couples meet and interact with each other. This can be a problem as research shows that increased usage of social media may lead to marital problems, infidelity, and divorce. Most time, ladies resort to social media when there’s an issue with their marriage/relationship.
DON’T DO IT
Social media is a form of electronic communication such as websites and applications for social networking that enable users create & share content, ideas, personal messages & others. Social media is a part of our modern society, but there are also dangers in social media if couples let it get out of control. Always keep in mind that social media is exactly what the name implies—media. The frequent usage of social media can be disaster in a marriage and as resulted in some negative habits:
Facilitates Laziness: Being addicted to social media activates laziness because instead of running to your friends you can message them. Or instead of praying to God about the challenge at hand, you update your status. Social networking makes life so convenient that it creates laziness. It eats deep into our time.
Jealously: Frequent usage of social media provides easy access for a jealous spouse to seek out information about the interactions of the other. Whether suspicions are founded or unfounded, people often feel uneasy about their relationship after discovering something on their partner’s Face book account. This often leads to increased monitoring, jealousy, and conflict in a relationship.
Inappropriate posting: Avoid posting inappropriate pictures to social media. Though the word inappropriate has many definitions, use basic discretion as a married person to respect others’ viewing your images. Guarding your marriage against emotional and sexual detachments begins by you guarding the messages you’re communicating to the outside world by your post & updates.
LOVE TIPS FOR TODAY:
- Avoid comparison in your marriage/relationship.
- Learn to be transparent.
- Always ask questions, don’t work with assumption.
- Be contented with your marriage/relationship.
- Intentionally protect your marriage/relationship.
Dear father, I pray that you guide and protect my marriage/relationship, I declare that my marriage is blessed in Jesus name, Amen.
God bless you abundantly
